Madam Shu is a single mother with five children living in Buea, Cameroon.
Two of her children, Joy and Queeniva, have sickle cell, a condition with a high mortality rate.
To improve their odds, Joy and Queeniva need monthly treatment as well as healthy eating and living conditions. However, Shu lives on very limited income and can't afford to give them the minimum standards in treatment.
The Cameroonian NGO CAVP (Community Association of Vulnerable Persons) has been providing Shu with payments of 30,000 francs CFA (about 50 dollars) every month for the last year, and Joy and Queeniva have not missed treatment since August 2022.
Each payment gives them one more month of assistance. Your donation will ensure they have the right drugs, medical attention, and food. Payments are verified monthly.
